Homemade Baked Churros

Hey everyone! :) Just thought I'd share a picture of an experiment I tried today.

Did I ever tell you I loved baking? ;) In my last post, I said that I liked watching baking shows, well, here is the result of one of the videos I watched a couple days ago! This recipe came from Gemma Stafford at Gemma's Bigger Bolder Baking. It looked sooo good and I thought it might be fun to try out. It was actually a toss up between churros (which Tiger Lily confused with burros, for some reason :P) and macaroons. Since I didn't have whipping cream for a ganache, it ended up being churros. And I'm so glad I tried it! It's really delicious and lots of fun to make!

And the melted chocolate. I just love making a thick, creamy chocolate! Watching the wooden spoon swirling around and around in beautiful dark melting chocolate, and whiffing the rich chocolatey smell, mmmm!

Oh, and a pleasant surprise! This pastry is actually the same kind of pastry that you use for cream puffs! want to guess what I'm going to try next? ;)

  1. Oh, these look soo amazing! You're making me hungry! May I come over and try one??? :)

  2. These look so good, Blessing!

I just wanted to let you know that I tagged you for The Spectacular Book Tag. If you'd like to participate here is the link:

    1. Thank you, Rebekah! I'll take a look at it, hopefully tonight! :)

  3. Wow, those look delicious, Blessing!!! :D Yum!!

  4. Oooh, looks delicious. Only thing is, I don't like to bake or cook, so . . . I guess I'll have to do without. Unless someone wants to make them for me. :)

    1. Oh, I'd love to make them for you! But they'd probably be flat and possibly mouldy by the time you got them. . . ;)

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! :)
I LOVE comments, so please do leave one! I will try and reply as soon as possible :D If you comment under Anonymous, please leave a name (it can be made up or real, your choice ;)
Oh, and as you all probably know, my family and I are under pseudonyms (you didn’t really think I had a brother named Spiderman or Ironman, did ya? We’re weird, but not 'that' weird! :P) If you do know our real names, please don’t say it in the comment box. Public safety stuff ;) Thanks!

Finally, brothers (and sisters!), whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things
