My Family

So just so you know...these are our pseudonyms, not our actual names. Just in case you happened to think we were wacky or something...

Now that that's out of the way, let me introduce you to my family!

Dad
Husband, dad, lumberjack, carpenter, teacher, cook, accountant, maintenance guy, and much more! It's kinda hard to say exactly what his occupation is. . . ;)

Mom
Personally, I think she's amazing. (not just saying that 'cause she's my mom ;))  She homeschools us (I still don't understand how she can teach Grades 10 through kindergarten and not get confused!) She can do just about everything, from making maple syrup, to playing board games, to raising us 7 crazy kids, to cooking meals for us almost every single day of the year, and tons more. Mom truly is a blessing to us all and I don't know what we'd do without her! :)

And now for all the kids. . . . ;)

Blessing Counter
I am 18 years old and the author of this blog. I'm the oldest of 8, a daughter, and, most importantly, a child of Christ Jesus. My biggest passion is probably music and I absolutely love singing and jamming with my friends. I also enjoy photography, blogging, baking (especially decorating cakes) reading, writing, and making memories with my family and friends!

Tiger Lily
This pretty gal is sweeeeet 16 and the family comedian! She always sees the funny side in pretty much everything and anything. There's never a dull moment when she's around! :) Her hobbies include baking (she specializes in Brown Butter Cookies and Cheesecakes, mmm!) talking to friends, spending time with her siblings, and making people laugh! :)

Spiderman
Spiderman is 14 and the oldest boy in our family. We sometimes call him a monkey because of his amazing agility and flexibility. He can climb trees, squeeze through rather small spaces, and yes, he's very good at monkey bars! :) He's also somewhat of a powerhouse...all those hours hauling and stacking wood and lugging around 20L buckets full of sap must have paid off! Free time is spent building amazing Lego structures, and playing sports or games with his siblings.

Ironman
This handsome boy is 12 years old and the fourth oldest of 7. He's exactly in the middle of all the children! :) You could say he's a Star Wars fan, just like Spiderman, Snow White, and Dare Devil. He is very hardworking and very close to Spiderman. They are almost always seen together, hauling wood, swimming, building Lego, playing Transformers...

Snow White
At 9 years, she's part tomboy, part princess, and wholly our beautiful little girl! Because she's right smack between 4 boys, she is often seen rough-housing it with the boys. But she can also be a perfect princess, acting very ladylike and dainty. And she makes a very pretty subject for photos! :) She loves to do so many things, including building Lego with her brothers, playing dolls with her sisters, sledding, skating, skiing, swimming, playing the piano, singing, and lots more!

Dare Devil
His name pretty much sums up what he is! Dare Devil is 6 years old and one daring boy! He is very eager to try out pretty much anything! He can be very persevering and once he's set his mind on something, it can sometimes be very hard to persuade him from it. He loves trying to do whatever his older siblings do! He has already learned how to ski (got a BLACK sticker and was very proud of it!) and recently learned how to skate (the boys are now teaching him how to play hockey) His latest adventure: Reading!

Toblerone
This adorable boy is 4 years old and full of fun and mischief. He's very independent and loves doing things on his own. His free time is spent getting into mischief with his partner-in-crime, Dare Devil! But he always brings laughter wherever he is and we all love him to bits!

Sweet Pea
This adorable child is over a year old now and is still an absolute bundle of joy! The number of smiles she brings to the family is countless and her happiness is contagious. And her grins...oh my heart xD

And last, but not least, is our pet, Maple! She's an 8 year old yellow lab and very active, even though in dog years she's like...56. She can get very hyper, but she is also extremely gentle with all of us kids. She'll always be my special puppy!

Oooh yes...and can't forget about my "adopted" sisters. Totally a part of the family!
Love ya, girls 💕

  4. Great page! It is fun to "meet" each one instead of only having a vague idea of what order they go in. :)

  5. So glad you put this up! :) Now I can (hopefully) remember what order you all are in. ;)
Your family is a lot like ours! The only difference is that we have three girls first, not two. :) But the rest of the order is exactly how our family is, and the ages are really close too!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! :)
I LOVE comments, so please do leave one! I will try and reply as soon as possible :D If you comment under Anonymous, please leave a name (it can be made up or real, your choice ;)
Oh, and as you all probably know, my family and I are under pseudonyms (you didn’t really think I had a brother named Spiderman or Ironman, did ya? We’re weird, but not 'that' weird! :P) If you do know our real names, please don’t say it in the comment box. Public safety stuff ;) Thanks!

Finally, brothers (and sisters!), whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things
