The Wonderful Book Tag

Hello everyone! I have finished all of my exams (Yay!!) and now I think I can get a bit more blogging done now ;) Haven't done as much as I would have liked the last few weeks, but maybe now I can. We'll have to see! :D

Rebekah tagged me for the Wonderful Book Tag a couple of weeks ago, and I've finally done it! Apologies for that super long delay! Anyway, onto the tag!

Here are the rules:
1. Answer the 10 questions
2. Tag at least 3-5 people
3. Have fun! : )

What are your top two favorite books?
Ahhh...ummm...I'm really not sure! I have so many favourite books!! I suppose if I really had to choose, I would choose The King's Daughter by Suzanne Collins Martel (haha, keep messing up my authors :P) and An Old-Fashioned Girl by Louisa May Alcott. I also really, really like Unbroken (TCR) by Rebekah Morris and another book by Louisa May Alcott, Eight Cousins

What are your top two favorite series?
The Millie series from Life of Faith (my sister and I love these series!) and The Northwood Adventures by Lois Walfrid Johnson. Oh, and just have to squeeze this one in too: Anne of Green Gables!!!!

Who is your favorite fictional character?
I don't really have a favourite fictional character. I love all of 'em, it's waaayyyy too hard to try choosing!

If any one of your favorite books could be made into a movie which one would you want it to be?
Well, actually, a lot of my favourite books have already been made into movies! :D I'm sure there are some other books that I would love to be made into movies, but I can't think of any at the moment!

What is your favorite genre to read?
Most of the time something to do with either horses, girls, or both! :) But I like mystery books (Sherlock Holmes and Mom introduced me to Agatha Christie ;)) and historical fiction as well.

Do you have a favorite author?
No. Like the favourite fictional character, there are waaayyy too many good authors to choose a favourite from! :)

Is there a book that you can hardly wait for it to come out?
Well, I am really excited for the rest of the Circle C Milestone books to come out, but I would also really like to actually read the ones that HAVE come out already ;)

What was one of your favorite childhood books?
The Moody books, by Sarah Maxwell. Lots of fun and soooo family friendly! :)

What was one of you favorite books when you were late elementary to middle school age?
Mmm....probably Anne of Green Gables. She is so much fun!!! I love her character. And Tiger Lily and I used to pretend we were Anne and Diana a lot of the time. Anyway, when we weren't busy pretending to be Mary and Laura Ingalls! :)

What is your favorite book of the Bible?
Ruth or Esther. And Revelations! Oh....and Luke too! (sorry, more than one. . . . again ;)

And this time I'm going to break the rules and not tag anyone. But if you would like to do this, consider yourself tagged ;)

Thanks for tagging me, Rebekah! :D It was so much fun!

  2. I loved reading your answers, Blessing!
Of the Life of Faith series, I haven't read Millie but I have read Kathleen. :) And Anne of Green Gables and Circle C Milestones... Of course! xD

(Also, am I the only one that gets Unbroken by Rebekah Morris and Unbroken by Laura Hilenbrand confused?)

    1. Thank you, Faith!

Oh, you should try reading Millie! It's beautiful and funny and charming all at once ;) Kathleen! I read those once too! Did you like her? :)

Well, I've never read Unbroken by Laura Hilenbrand, so I've never confused it with Rebekah Morris' Unbroken! :D

    2. Aren't they like out of print or something? I've saw them places but they're really expensive.
I've read Kathleen twice, I think, and I need to read them again! :D I remember the first time I read the end of book-4. We were on the way to church on a Sunday morning and I was literally crying when HE went into the barn to get HIM. It's SO sad!!! :'( But, yeah, I love those amazing books. :)

Haha, okay! I haven't read either one. I've read parts of Unbroken (by Hillenbrand) but the beginning didn't interest me so I never actually read the entire books before it was due at the library. :) And Unbroken (Morris) is in my kindle library waiting for me to read it... ;)

    5. @ Faith, Well, they're sorta out of print now. (meaning, some of them are still being sold, but I think Life of Faith has stopped printing them) But you're right about the price. It's unbelievable how much just one book costs!

Oh, refresh my memory...did someone die in the Kathleen books? Last time I read them was 2-3 years ago, so I don't remember a lot of the books. All I remember is that Kathleen is Irish and has red hair!! Oh, and I think she has a treehouse. But I don't remember the HE that went in the barn to get HIM!

    6. That's what I thought. I've seen them places like Amazon, but...yeah. Expensive! *sad face*

Yes, someone dies. :'( Sorry, I'm bad to ramble about things and it not make much sense. xD Kathleen has red hair and yes, her Dad and brother build her a treehouse for her birthday. And she's Irish. Or, wait. Maybe she's Scottish....? I think I need to be reading them again! ;)
So in book-2 Kathleen's family moves out to the country to live with her grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins. In book-4 (they still live there) and the barn catches on fire. Robby (her eight year-old cousin) goes into the barn after his puppy. Bruce (15 year-old cousin) and Kathleen go in to get him as the roof starts to give way. Bruce tells Kathleen to get Robby, the dog and get out. They get out but before Kathleen's dad and uncle can get there...the barn collapses... :'( *sniff*
So yeah. It's sad and it made me cry, but they're such good books! :)

    7. Hmm...Scottish sounds right too. Which wears the kilt, Irish or Scots? Didn't she do some kind of dancing like that? Or am I mixing up stories? :P

Ohhh....right. Now I remember! Eek, that WAS really sad. I think I was crying when I read that part too :'( I sort of freaked out my sister because she didn't know WHY I was crying so much :P

    8. Um... *squints at ceiling* I think that's Scots. (This is terrible. I could just go look at the book!!) I don't remember dancing, but I know she competed in foot races. And their kilts are mentioned in book-1. :)

Yep. It's JUST SO SAD. Yeah, I can relate. xD My brother is like "what is wrong with you?!" whenever I cry during a book or movie. He just doesn't get it. ;)

    1. Charles. Defiantly Charles! I got the first five books right before they went out of print, and I couldn't find the other for the longest times! That year or so of waiting was torture. I mean, book 5 has like the worst cliffhanger EVER! I HAD to know what happened to Charles! And Gavi and Gorden! They're both favorites as well. And Millie is a favorite as well. I first fell in love with the books because she was the oldest of 8 kids. . .just like me! ;)
      Who is your favorite?

    2. Whew! A whole year! Yes, those cliffhangers! I remember those well ;) Not too sure about which cliffhanger book 5 had though. Did it end on Gavi's. . . statement?

Haha, I have SO many favourite characters, it would be impossible to choose just one! :D

    3. Yes, it ended on Gavi's statement! I got SOOO mad when it ended there. I was frantic to find the next one!
Yeah, there are a lot of favorites in the series. :) But I've always loved Charles. He's just so sweet and gentlemanly! Talking about this has reminded me how much I need to re-read the series. ;)

    4. Yes, Charles is amazing! :) I loved it when I read that he had become a Christian!! :D

    2. Thanks :)
I don't actually know how I survived...I know from book 7 or 8 they get married but I want to know HOW!!!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! :)
I LOVE comments, so please do leave one! I will try and reply as soon as possible :D If you comment under Anonymous, please leave a name (it can be made up or real, your choice ;)
Oh, and as you all probably know, my family and I are under pseudonyms (you didn’t really think I had a brother named Spiderman or Ironman, did ya? We’re weird, but not 'that' weird! :P) If you do know our real names, please don’t say it in the comment box. Public safety stuff ;) Thanks!

Finally, brothers (and sisters!), whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things
