Well, it came true.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! :)
I LOVE comments, so please do leave one! I will try and reply as soon as possible :D If you comment under Anonymous, please leave a name (it can be made up or real, your choice ;)
Oh, and as you all probably know, my family and I are under pseudonyms (you didn’t really think I had a brother named Spiderman or Ironman, did ya? We’re weird, but not 'that' weird! :P) If you do know our real names, please don’t say it in the comment box. Public safety stuff ;) Thanks!
Finally, brothers (and sisters!), whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things

Oh, no! That's terrible. :-( I can relate, actually. One day, several years ago, I was going to the chicken coop to gather the eggs and open the door so they could run free for the day. I also had some bread scraps or something to give them. I opened the door, then went around the side of the coop to dump the scraps in and saw not one but FOUR DEAD CHICKENS!!! It was horrible! They were up against the fencing and feathers everywhere... And to make matters worse my dog, Simpson, ran through the open door and drug one of the poor dead hens out to me! Yeah. Needless to say, I wasted no time jumping on the Polaris and high-tailing it to the house! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, four chickens? That's so sad! :( How did they die?
Delete*shudders* What did Simpson end up doing with the chicken?!
We think a fox or something got in the coop and killed them. They were all drug to the end of the fence. *gag*
DeleteI really don't remember! I think Dad took it from him or something. :)
Okay, I'll admit I did chuckle a bit at this. I can't say that I've ever even thought of seeing a dead chicken. (Does that have something to do with living in the city?) But I want to know what you did after you saw it. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it does! :) I guess imagining dead things in general isn't really something people want to imagine anyway, city AND country folks ;)
DeleteWell, Mom found the chicken first when she went out to gather the eggs. Afterwards, we were SOOO glad we hadn't sent the younger ones to get them. Probably would have scarred them for life :P
I was just really shocked when Mom told me, and I didn't scream or anything (yay for me!) but I was very sad later on. The chickens are a little like pets (unfortunately) so yeah. . .
