Sisterhood Award!

I was tagged yet again! A thousand thanks to Emily McConnell from The Imaginary World of Emily McConnell! All of your questions are a ton of fun to answer....and sooo extremely random! :P :D XD

So, now for the rules:

-Thank the blogger who nominated you, linking back to their site.
-Put the award logo on your blog.
-Answer the ten questions sent to you
-Make up ten new questions for your nominees to answer.
-Nominate ten blogs.

Here are my answers to Emily's hilarious questions! ;)
You discover that someone you’ve known your whole life is in fact- not real. Reaction?
What???? That can't happen! That . is . not . allowed . to . be!!

Favorite old TV show? (has to be earlier than the eighties)
Little House on the Prairie. (the one with Michael Landon, the two Melissas, Karen Grassle, and all those other great people! Oh, and don't forget about Alison Arngrim!)

You open your door to discover the dandelions in your yard have actually turned into real lions. How are you going to take care of this problem?
Whoa, really? Well, if that's possible.....then I guess these particular lions are also dandy lions? :P Let's just flood the yard and fill it with mud. It'll be too dirty for them to stand, right? (Wow, this is a really weird question, not to mention a really weird answer! I don't think I'm thinking straight right now, I'm very tired.... :D)

Guinea pigs or chinchillas?
Oh, I like both! Guinea pigs especially because of Bugsy in the movie Bedtime Stories. And chinchillas because of their ears and because it's fun to say chinchilla! :P
(and some of my family is watching me while I'm typing and now they're all saying "Chinchilla, chinchilla, chinchilla.....)
Anyone wondering why his name is Bugsy? :P

Those EARS!!!

Do you follow world/national news much?
Not too much. Anyway, not as much as I should!

What’s your favorite verse in Revelation?
Oh, I love the entire book of Revelation! It's such a beautiful book, I can't choose just one verse!

Which Nordic (Scandinavian) country do you want to visit? Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Denmark or Norway?
Sweden!!! I don't know why, but I just really, really, really, like anything Swedish! Maybe it's because I read the Adventures of the Northwoods by Lois Walfrid Johnson. ;)

Do you know what the Baltics are?
Um......no. Who are they?

If one of your fictional characters (or a character from your favorite TV show or movie or book) was to be your mentor, who would you choose and why?
Well, the first person to come to mind is Lucy Winchester. She is a character that I really admire because of her patience, courage, gentleness, calmness; all traits that I need to work on!

And finally- would you rather be bucked off a horse and break your arm and a rib, stepped on by an elephant and break your leg or nearly drown in a river? (Okay, that’s just a weird question… ignore my random ponderings, this is how my mind works.) ;)
Just wondering, is it possible to get stepped on by an elephant and only get away with a broken leg? This would probably be one of the questions where I would go "Um....neither?" but if I really have to answer I think I would say nearly drown in a river. I think falling off a horse and getting stepped on by an elephant is scarier. :P

Now for the nominees!! But this time, instead of just bloggers, I'm going to name a few people that don't have blogs too. It's nice to find new blogs, but it's even more fun to hear people's answers! And so I want people to have a chance to answer the questions, even if you don't have a blog! :D
I'm only putting 10 names, but if I didn't put your name down and you want to answer the questions, feel free to do so! I love hearing everyone's answers :)

This is going to be so much fun!!! :)

Sooo, the nominees are:

Tiffany C.
Gloria Lemon
Tiger Lily
Naomi from Wonderland Creek
Abigail from Cacciacarro Clan
Rebekah from Rebekah's Reading Room
Lydia Dyslin from Through the Wardrobe

Alrighty, here are my questions!

1. Do you know who the Willis Clan is? If you do, who told you or where did you find them?
2. Would you prefer to take care of a herd of 100 chickens, a herd of 20 wild horses, or a herd of 10 baby elephants?
3. If someone gave you a bow and a quiver of arrows and told you to shoot three arrows into one tight cluster on a board, do you think you would be able to do it?
4. Have you ever dropped a watermelon?
5. How many siblings do you have? Are you the oldest, the youngest, or right smack in the middle?
6. What is one tradition that you do (or try to do) during family birthdays?
7. Say it was your birthday. Would you prefer to wake up and find 1. a new horse standing above you (yeah, I know, a horse in your room?!?), 2. a huge bouquet of your favourite flowers,  or 3. a stack of books that you've wanted to read for a loooong time?
8. What is your favourite movie of the year?
9. Do you have a book or a series of books that you wish was made into a movie? If so, what is the name of the book(s)?
10. What is the craziest thing that you've done recently?

And then just because, I'm going to do two more questions ;) You can answer both, or just do one!

How and when did you get involved with blogging?

Do you think of actors by their real name or by their movie name? (e.g. Do you say Laura Ingalls or Melissa Gilbert from the movie Little House on the Prairie?

Have fun with the questions, and I can't wait to see your answers! :D

Just a random picture of Toblerone eating a granola bar ;)

    1. Thanks for answering, Tiffany! It was fun reading all of your answers! :D Oh, the Men of Grit series! Are they similar to the Boys of Grit books?

I'll answer the questions in another comment since Blogger won't let me make such a long comment :)

    2. 1. Do you know who the Willis Clan is? If you do, who told you or where did you find them?
Yes, I do know the Willis Clan! They are by far, my favourite band! Their music is beautiful and even better, they’re Christians! It’s starting to get hard to find a good Christian band these days! I first discovered them when I fell upon a blog that Lily and Ellie (authors of the Duggar and Bates blog) were doing on them. The first video I saw of them was their twist on My Favourite Things while they were performing at America’s Got Talent. After I saw that, I instantly knew that I was going to like them! :D

      2. Would you prefer to take care of a herd of 100 chickens, a herd of 20 wild horses, or a herd of 10 baby elephants?
Probably 10 baby elephants. It would be so much fun and they’d be so cute! :D

      3. If someone gave you a bow and a quiver of arrows and told you to shoot three arrows into one tight cluster on a board, do you think you would be able to do it?
Well, I’m learning how to do that right now. Dad, Tiger Lily, the two eldest boys, and I are taking 6 week archery course/class and one of the main aims is to be able to shoot a tight cluster of arrows. I’ve done it pretty close before, but only 2 in about 10 tries! ;)

      4. Have you ever dropped a watermelon?
No, I don’t believe I have. I have dropped stuff like lemon squares, which, by the way, made a huge sticky mess…..but that’s a different story!

      5. How many siblings do you have? Are you the oldest, the youngest, or right smack in the middle?
I am the oldest of 7 children. So 6 other crazy, but fun, siblings!

    3. 6. What is one tradition that you do (or try to do) during family birthdays?
One tradition that has lasted the longest is letting the birthday person choose where they want to go or have for dinner. Lately, we’ve tried to have the birthday person wear a funny hat too! :D

      7. Say it was your birthday. Would you prefer to wake up and find 1. a new horse standing above you (yeah, I know, a horse in your room?!?), 2. a huge bouquet of your favourite flowers,  or 3. a stack of books that you've wanted to read for a loooong time?
Ohhh dear! I came up with these options because they were 3 of the things that I would have liked the most! Argh, now I’ve got to choose one??? I don’t think I can! :)

      8. What is your favourite movie of the year?
Probably Cinderella. It was a beautiful movie! :D

      9. Do you have a book or a series of books that you wish was made into a movie? If so, what is the name of the book(s)?
Yes, 3 of the books that I would dearly love to see made into movies is Old Fashioned Girl, King’s Daughter, and Calico Captive. The only thing is that I’d be afraid that they’d portray it wrong, have the wrong kind of people as actors, or even worse, make it very inappropriate! For example, I was so eager to watch Prince Caspian from the Chronicles of Narnia, but then watching it was….a little disappointing. For one thing, Prince Caspian was a definite blond in the book, and that’s how I’d picture him when I read the book. So watching the movie and finding him a dark haired person with a somewhat queer accent kinda messed up what I was thinking in my head. Is what I’m saying making any sense or are you shaking your head and trying to figure out what I’m trying to say? :P

      10. What is the craziest thing that you've done recently?
Umm…I talked to a fish. The past week, I went to a piano bootcamp, and during lunch all the other people had their phones out and texting or playing games or whatever else people do on their phones, so I amused myself by talking to the big black fish-with-blue-lips who I pretended was also feeling kinda lonely. ;)

How and when did you get involved with blogging?
I wanted to start a blog awhile after I started reading Mrs. Marlow’s blog, Circle C Adventures. I think that was a little less than a year ago.

Do you think of actors by their real name or by their movie name? (e.g. Do you say Laura Ingalls or Melissa Gilbert from the movie Little House on the Prairie?)
By their movie names! I just can’t remember all the actors’ names, no matter how hard I try! :)

  2. I loved your answers! They were so fun and creative and hilarious! :D Glad you enjoyed answering them! AND YAY FOR SWEDEN! :D I like Sweden as well. :) Actually, I like all the Nordics countries, but my Mother is Swedish/Norwegian (maybe Finnish as well) so I want to see if I have relatives in Sweden and Norway. Also, the Baltics are a group of countries right beneath Sweden, Norway and Finland. They're a group of kinda "brother" countries and are called the Baltics because they're next to the Baltic sea. They include Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Just kinda a random thing I wanted to throw in there and see how many people knew what they were. ;) Okay, I'll answer your questions in another comment! :D So glad you enjoyed this!

  3. 1. Do you know who the Willis Clan is? If you do, who told you or where did you find them?
Uhm, no, I'm afraid I don't know who they are. :)

    2. Would you prefer to take care of a herd of 100 chickens, a herd of 20 wild horses, or a herd of 10 baby elephants?
CHICKENS! :D Hehe, I would love having that many chickens running around! Even though I own a horse and have trained horses, I wouldn't particularly like having twenty wild horses because of how much work they'd be to train and take care of. And I don't know a thing about elephants. :)

    3. If someone gave you a bow and a quiver of arrows and told you to shoot three arrows into one tight cluster on a board, do you think you would be able to do it?
Actually, yes. I do archery. :) I have a seventy percent accuracy level about.

    4. Have you ever dropped a watermelon?
Nope. I wish I have, though. ;) I think it would be hilarious!

    5. How many siblings do you have? Are you the oldest, the youngest, or right smack in the middle?
I have eight- five sisters and three brothers. I am almost in the middle- I'm the fourth to youngest. :)

    6. What is one tradition that you do (or try to do) during family birthdays?
Get the birthday hat out! We have a special hat the birthday person has to wear on their birthday. :)

    7. Say it was your birthday. Would you prefer to wake up and find 1. a new horse standing above you (yeah, I know, a horse in your room?!?), 2. a huge bouquet of your favourite flowers, or 3. a stack of books that you've wanted to read for a loooong time?
THAT'S SO HARD! I have a horse, but I would love to have another horse... ;) And I love books. Ehhh... I'd go with the horse. It would be a big black Shire mare or gelding with a white star on it's forehead. I would name it lightning. :)

    8. What is your favourite movie of the year?
    This year? "Inside Out."

    9. Do you have a book or a series of books that you wish was made into a movie? If so, what is the name of the book(s)?
Do my books count? ;) It would be so much fun to see my characters be "real" on TV or a movie or something. I think it would be great if they made the Secret of the Rose series into movies. :)

    10. What is the craziest thing that you've done recently?
I was in a cherry pit spit contest last night (not kidding) and I spat a pit fourteen feet. I didn't win, though. I have won in previous years. It's an event that takes place every year near where I work, along with a four mile run/walk.

How and when did you get involved with blogging?
I wanted to start a blog after I began reading Mrs. Marlow's blog. I thought it would be fun. So I started writing a blog almost three years ago. :)

Do you think of actors by their real name or by their movie name? (e.g. Do you say Laura Ingalls or Melissa Gilbert from the movie Little House on the Prairie?)
I always think of them by their movie names, never actress/actors names. I can never remember their real names, just their character names! :D

Thanks for doing these! I had fun answering! :D

    1. Wow, you have a 70% accuracy level for archery! That's pretty good! :D

Oh, now that you mentioned the Secret of the Rose, I was wondering, how many books are there in the series? I bought the first book at a book fair last month and when I got to the end of the book I was like "WHAT?? A book can't end like that!" before I realized that it was a series! :) Do the sequels follow Sabina's story, or is there a completely different person as the main character?

      Thanks for answering! :D

    2. Okay, so I know I'm not Emily, but The Secret of the Rose books are some of my favorites! Yes, all four books are about Sabina. Although, the second book starts quite a few years later! You must read them, they are all so good!! :D

      Delete
    3. Oh goodie! Now I'm really wanting to read those books! Hopefully the library has the rest of the series!!! ;) So....jut wondering, you know the beginning of the book where it's talking about a man in a chair....WHO is that? I've been trying to figure it out, and I've got an idea, but I'm not too sure!

  4. 1. Do you know who the Willis Clan is? If you do, who told you or where did you find them? Yes, because you told me about them:P

    2. Would you prefer to take care of a herd of 100 chickens, a herd of 20 wild horses, or a herd of 10 baby elephants? I think I would rather take care of a herd of baby elephants. I have no idea why though….

    3. If someone gave you a bow and a quiver of arrows and told you to shoot three arrows into one tight cluster on a board, do you think you would be able to do it? Maybe? When we take archery lessons I only sometimes get them really close.

    4. Have you ever dropped a watermelon? Probably.

    5. How many siblings do you have? Are you the oldest, the youngest, or right smack in the middle? I have 6 siblings.(As you know already) I am second oldest.

    6. What is one tradition that you do (or try to do) during family birthdays? The birthday person gets to choose where they want to go for dinner!

Say it was your birthday. Would you prefer to wake up and find 1. a new horse standing above you (yeah, I know, a horse in your room?!?), 2. a huge bouquet of your favorite flowers, or 3. a stack of books that you've wanted to read for a loooong time? Ok. First of all, I sleep in a loft bed so if a horse managed to get up there, I would be squished when I got up. And yes, flowers are very pretty but I am allergic to them. Sooooooo...........it would have to be the books even though I am not sure right now what I’d want.

What is your favorite movie of the year? Cinderella:)

    9. Do you have a book or a series of books that you wish was made into a movie? If so, what is the name of the book(s)? Nope.

    10. What is the craziest thing that you've done recently? Ummmm.....I think I’ve probably done a lot of crazy things recently but I can’t remember any right now.

  5. YOUR QUESTIONS ARE AWESOME. :-) I must answer them now. Do you mind if I do it in the comment box? It's just that I have a lot of post ideas at the moment, and I can't seem to follow with my posts. :-)

    1. Do you know who the Willis Clan is? If you do, who told you or where did you find them?
Yup, I know who they are. I kinda half-follow the TLC shows, so when they popped up I started listening to some of their songs. I like them, although some things bother me a bit - like, they make them appear SO darned perfect it's a bit maddening sometimes. :-/

    2. Would you prefer to take care of a herd of 100 chickens, a herd of 20 wild horses, or a herd of 10 baby elephants?
I can't answer that! Nothing! I wouldn't like to do any of those. Mayyyybe 10 baby elephants - because THAT would be a cool experience. :-)

    3. If someone gave you a bow and a quiver of arrows and told you to shoot three arrows into one tight cluster on a board, do you think you would be able to do it?
Perhaps. But there would be a bit chance that I couldn't, because I've never done that kind of thing.

    4. Have you ever dropped a watermelon?
Not as far as I know, thank goodness! Have you?

    5. How many siblings do you have? Are you the oldest, the youngest, or right smack in the middle?
I'm the second of ten. :-)

    6. What is one tradition that you do (or try to do) during family birthdays?
We watch a movie (the birthday girl/boy can choose a movie) and a nice meal (chosen also by the birthday person.)

    7. Say it was your birthday. Would you prefer to wake up and find 1. a new horse standing above you (yeah, I know, a horse in your room?!?), 2. a huge bouquet of your favourite flowers, or 3. a stack of books that you've wanted to read for a loooong time?
    NUMBER THREE. OF COURSE. :-)

    8. What is your favourite movie of the year?
Testament of Youth. It's SOOOOO good. :-)

    9. Do you have a book or a series of books that you wish was made into a movie? If so, what is the name of the book(s)?
Yes! I'd LOVE to see a movie of 'Rilla of Ingleside.' Have you heard of it? T'is truly brilliant.

    10. What is the craziest thing that you've done recently?
Um. Hang on. Um, maybe doing a running race with my sister in the sea? It doesn't sound as crazy as it sounds, but it was. :-)

How and when did you get involved with blogging?
Well, I read a lot of blogs and emailed with a girl who had a blog, so I was already kinda involved with blogging before I had my own. I then asked my parents if I could have my own, and they said yes! :-)

Do you think of actors by their real name or by their movie name? (e.g. Do you say Laura Ingalls or Melissa Gilbert from the movie Little House on the Prairie?)
Haha, well, I am pretty good at remembering names, so when I talk about the actors I would use the actors name. But often I change it to the characters name, because most people in my family don't know any of the actors' names, so in order for them to understand, I need to show them WHO I mean by saying the character's name. :-) Haha.

    GREAT questions!

Haha, the Willis Clan! Have you seen them swing dance too? Here's one AMAZING dance that Jackson and Jasmine did awhile ago.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT2G4Fpdy-Y The emotions that they're able to portray in their dancing is just so beautiful and they were only 13 and 9!

Testament of Youth...yes, I just KNEW that you were going to say that! :P :D And Rilla of Ingleside! I loved that book! I cried so hard when Walter died, though :'(

Wow, how did the sea race go? It must have been hard running in water! :D

    1. Do you know who the Willis Clan is? If you do, who told you or where did you find them?

    2. Would you prefer to take care of a herd of 100 chickens, a herd of 20 wild horses, or a herd of 10 baby elephants?
100 chickens. Only because they seem like the easiest to take care of :P

    10. What is the craziest thing that you've done recently?
Um, I think the craziest thing I've done recently is watch the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies four times each in the last couple of weeks. Oops. Plus I watched the fourth one twice.

    11. Do you think of actors by their real name or by their movie name? (e.g. Do you say Laura Ingalls or Melissa Gilbert from the movie Little House on the Prairie?)
Definitely their movie names! Unless I am really, really familiar with them.

Oh, the Hidden Hand! Is that the one by E.D.E.N Southworth? That would make such an awesome movie! I love, love, LOVE that book! I've been trying to persuade Tiger Lily to read it because she thinks that it's going to be the most boring book on earth. (It doesn't help that she opened the book at a random place at age 6 and read one of the quotes at the beginning of a chapter and thus concluded that the book was full of poetry :P)

Finally, brothers (and sisters!), whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things
